Belonging is something that we all want to feel. To feel apart, to feel a sense of home. We tend to search for our sense of light in others, in things rather than looking inside you.

We can go on searching for something that takes us from ourselves, however we need to go back to ourselves, inside us. God is within, the Light is within. You are both make and female, negative and positive- YOU are balance.

Growing Pains- My thoughts.

It’s a complicated thing love
and it’s pretty hard to fathom
but when you have it, it’s the most beautiful thing
that you have ever known,
Nothing can compare.

Mirror images, would you like to know the truth?

Running around in circles

picking flowers as you go along,

collecting families of Daisies and Lilies alike.

Blooming in the wild, free for all to see
yet it goes unnoticed.
Scurrying in your every turn
walking into brick walls
that you can’t seem to see over.
Great heights you have to travel
just to get a glimpse,
A glimpse of Daisies and Lilies alike..
Growing in the wild.

John 4:16- And so we know and rely on the love God has for us. God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

I will extol the LORD at all times; his praise will always be on my lips.
Psalm 34:1 (NIV)

Thoughts on Today’s Verse…

One way to keep our life on track and our hearts surrendered to the will and work of God is to praise our glorious LORD continually. Let’s put our praise for God on our lips with song and memorized Scripture. Let’s tell his wonderful and great deeds to our children, grandchildren, and friends. Let’s give him thanks for all that he has done for us. Just as surely as he is with us always (see Ps. 139), let’s praise him always.

Almighty God and eternal and loving Father, I praise you for your great might and incredible creativity displayed in your creation. I marvel at your vastness and incomprehensible glory revealed in the great expanse of the heavens. Thank you for your power, mercy…

Today- The day of the WOMAN.

Today It’s not about myself and my poetry, but about the beautiful, strong and independent  mothers, sisters, grandmothers and females that have walked into my life. The inspiration they bring is beyond beautiful and they continually inspire me which I am so very grateful for. We as feminine entities are not celebrated enough by the world and why? Personally, I think that we are very powerful and that is not being recognized as much as it should be.

We give life, we are Creators. So why at times are we so put down by society? Why is it that we let ourselves down as females and why is it that some of us are constantly in competition with each other? We need to take time to recognize our beauty and give that to the world, not selfishly, not greedily, not for a reward but because that is who we are.

Recognize your Beauty Sister, recognize your Worth, recognize how much of a BEAUTIFUL specimen you are and EMBRACE that.

Our men should make you feel like a Queen, like his counterpart. We are not any more or any less than each other. Tell her you love her, allow her to see that. Help your mum with the shopping if you see her with a million bags in her hand, better yet the lady walking next to you.. take that load off of her. When you see natural beauty and no makeup, tell her she’s beautiful. When they’re down, hold their hand and walk with them.

This should be done for anyone. Whether male or female, but like I said. Today is the day of the Woman.

Are Mistakes Such Terrible Things?

I think this post is very relevant to the world we currently live in and even from the start of man. In order to learn, sometimes mistakes have to happen. That’s no reason to go out and act a fool now! But we all make mistakes, do not penalize yourself too much and do not allow another man to condemn you as we ALL make mistakes.. Nobody is perfect but God. Learn, we are continually learning, every day, just make sure that you apply this in a positive way to your life and the world around you

What It’s Like To Be In Love When You Have Depression

A lot of folks suffer with this very issue. I was also one and I’m currently still battling but you eventually overcome 🙂

Thought Catalog

“No one will love you until you learn to love yourself” is an easy enough phrase to believe is true. But it’s terrifying, especially when you have depression. What if you never learn? As a teenager, it made me fear for my life as an adult. I was certain I would never be capable of being in a relationship, but I was very wrong. Honestly, I do not like myself very much, and in August of 2013, a boy fell very, very much in love with me.

I have dealt with depression for as long as I can remember. I’ve been on and off medications, been to therapy, but it’s still alive and well, comfortable in its home in my bones. I can feel it every day, a tiny inkling that causes breathtaking emotional pain at the most inconvenient of times.

My depression doesn’t care that I am in a…

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder- You are the beholder.

I was compelled to write about this issue, as I feel that it is an important one for us females. During my travels I felt several eyes burning on my skin, their criticism caught me. People become self-conscious because of the popular society we live in today. From the way you style your hair to the flick of your eyeliner, to the type of trainers that match your attire. Why is this so important?

I left my house feeling comfortable,

I felt comfortable in my skin and comfortable in my clothes.

Little to my surprise scrutiny was just around the corner.

Is it because my eyebrows aren’t perfect?

Do I have to wear lipstick and add extra lash volume to the already existing hair dancing on my eye lids?

My skin isn’t perfect, I still get lumps and bumps and my tone ain’t too even.

I mean my hair can be a little crazy but that’s my identity, that’s my strength.

Why would you laugh and ridicule me because I’m not like you,

my exterior is not a reflection of yours.

I don’t like to wear skirts and dresses and high heels

cause honestly, sometime I think I’m going to fall.

I’d rather dodge that shame, or maybe it just not my necessity.

I can’t apologise for who I am

and you shouldn’t have to apologise for who you are.

We’re females sister, shouldn’t we stick together?

Why do you feel the need to criticize me?

Make me feel like I’m less than you and snigger at me in your pack like wolves because I’m not like you?

Beyonce was the one that said Girls run the world, but we don’t need Beyonce to tell us that..

Surely you knew that already?

In order to run though ladies, We have to work together.

Why do you continue to look down at me from your tower?

Are you a damsel in distress?

Beauty isn’t typical, it’s rare.

It’s inside of all us, It ain’t in the clothes you wear honey.
